The two-year colleges in Mississippi include Northeast Mississippi Community College, Jones County Junior College and Coahoma Community College. A total of 15 junior and community colleges serve the students of this state.
Northeast Mississippi Community College in Booneville was founded in 1948 and offers approximately 100 different programs. Students can choose from day, evening and night classes to suit their needs.
Established in 1911, Jones County Junior College in Ellisville serves an eight-county district. Its motto, "Inspiring Greatness," applies to academic and extracurricular activities, as its men's basketball team won the National Junior College Athletic Association championship in 2014.
Coahoma Community College is located near Clarksdale near the Mississippi River. Established as an agricultural high school in 1924, it expanded to feature junior college studies in 1949.
