The master's degree can take less than three years to complete. Besides painting, some other specialties offered at this school are sculpture and graphic design, as noted by Artspace.
The Rhode Island School of Design, which is in Providence, Rhode Island, is ranked in second place on the U.S. News & World Report list. This school offers a variety of fine arts specialties, including painting, illustration, furniture design and industrial design. Depending on the specialty or program, it can take between one to three years to complete a degree.
Columbia University has third place on this list. At this university, there also are other programs besides painting and to complete the master's degree can take two years.
