The Think Math! curriculum covers kindergarten through fifth grade, and therefore includes third grade. The program focuses on conceptual understanding through focused practice, and students have plenty of chances to practice their math skills by solving real problems and participating in other analytical activities.
The Think Math! program began production after the National Science Foundation awarded a grant to its parent company, Education Development Center Inc. The company created Think Math! with the premise that children are natural problem solvers and can harness their natural creativity to find their own strategies for solving equations. The program has a strong emphasis in preparing students to succeed in algebra and higher-level mathematics.
