TestNav practice tests can be found on the Pearson Education website (PARCC.Pearson.com) under the Test Preparation tab. Here, users can access sample questions, practice tests and a TestNav program tutorial. After clicking the Test Preparation tab, select Practice Tests from the drop-down menu.
The Partnership for Assessment of Readiness for College and Careers, or PARCC, is a collaboration among multiple states to design a new set of common assessments, in place of previously used standardized tests, with the objective of tracking students' development and improvement as they advance through their education. In the 2014-15 school year, 11 states (Arkansas, Colorado, Illinois, Louisiana, Maryland, Massachusetts, Mississippi, New Jersey, New Mexico and Rhode Island) and Washington, D.C. participated in PARCC.
TestNav is the software on which the PARCC assessments are administered. In the Test Preparation tab, users can choose to view individual sample questions, sample tests and a tutorial that helps familiarize them with the TestNav program. In the Sample Test section, users can choose to view sample tests for either Language Arts/ Literacy or Mathematics; tests for grades 3 through 11 are available in both subjects. The online sample tests can be scored by the program, but PARCC has also made answer keys and open-ended scoring rubrics available.
