Technical schools in the Atlanta area as of May 2015 include Atlanta Technical College, the Lincoln College of Technology, ITT Technical Institute and Georgia Piedmont Technical College. Atlanta Technical College offers programs in areas including accounting, barbering, air conditioning, cosmetology and criminal justice.
Atlanta Technical College also offers online courses. Students can earn an associate of applied science degree, a diploma or a certificate of credit. The Lincoln College of Technology is in Marietta and is a for-profit school that offers education in areas such as HVACR training, automotive, computer networking, medical assisting and culinary arts.
The ITT Technical Institute is also a for-profit school. It has four campuses in the Atlanta area, one of which is in Atlanta. The other three are in Douglasville, Duluth and Kennesaw. The Atlanta campus offers associate of science degrees in fields such as drafting and design, network systems administration, electrical engineering and criminology.
Georgia Piedmont Technical College provides services in the metro Atlanta region. Students can earn technical certificates of credit in areas such as automotive climate control, automotive engine repair, apartment industry management, C++ programming and mobile electronics. Associate of applied science degrees are available in human resource management, early childhood care and other areas.
