New York University students and alumni can access their email account, calendar, an online student information system, a cloud storage service and a number of research tools through the NYUHome web portal. NYUHome consists of various channels students use to access tools and information online.
Examples of NYUHome channels include Albert, the university's online student information system, and Box, an online cloud storage and file transfer protocol service designed for student use. Students can use Box to store unlimited amounts of data in individual file sizes of up to 10 GB each. Another channel offered as part of the NYUHome service is the Google-powered email and calendar service that provides students access to their university email address.
NYUHome also provides students access to a variety of other channels, including a university events channel, a financial news channel, an online library channel and a subscription channel designed to inform users about student organization activities. Students can use NYUHome's off-campus housing channel to learn about available local listings or to search for roommates who are a part of the NYU community.
NYUHome also features a directory channel that allows NYU students to type in a student's name and access phone numbers and campus addresses of registered members.
