Several different scholarships are available through the P.E.O. Sisterhood and information can be found on the organization's official website when the application window is open. All P.E.O. scholarships are available only to female students.
The main scholarships offered by the P.E.O. Sisterhood are the International Peace Scholarship (IPS), the Program for Continuing Education (PCE), the Scholar Awards (PSA), and the STAR Scholarship.
The International Peace Scholarship is a need-based scholarship available to non-U.S. and non-Canadian female students, as well as students of Cottey College. This scholarship fund has been available since 1949 and helps encourage international students to attend universities in both the United States and Canada.
The Program for Continuing Education is a need-based scholarship established in 1973 that provides one-time assistance to women who wish to resume studies that were formerly interrupted.
The Scholar Awards program offers merit-based assistance for women enrolled in a doctorate program at an accredited college or university. It has encouraged scholarship and academic endeavors for women since 1991.
The STAR Scholarship is a non-renewable $2,500 scholarship for female high school seniors who have demonstrated scholastic excellence. To avoid forfeiture, this award must be used ruing the academic year immediately following the student's graduation.
