Apex Learning courses include Algebra, Earth Science, Introduction to Literature and Composition, World History to the Renaissance and German. Advanced Placement courses include Statistics, Psychology, Macroeconomics, U.S. History and U.S. Government and Politics. Elective courses, such as Financial Literacy and Creative Writing, cover special topics outside of the regular curriculum.
In addition to its regular courses, Apex Learning offers special tutorials to supplement individual instruction and offer remedial aid. Tutorials are available for both high school and middle school students. As with the regular courses, some are only available for certain states, as they are designed to match that state's specific academic regulations. Examples include English I Texas and Math 6 Pennsylvania.
For those who want a more career-focused education, Apex Learning offers Career and Technical Education programs in Business Management and Administration, Information Technology and Health Science.
Many of Apex Learning's courses are designed to match Common Core requirements and count towards high school graduation requirements as original credits or credit recovery. Some of these courses also function as honors courses. Apex Learning's virtual school courses receive accreditation from the Northwest Accreditation Commission and approval from the National Collegiate Athletic Association. The College Board provides authorization for its Advanced Placement courses.
