ST Math, or Spatial-Temporal Math, is for school students only. Created by MIND Research Institute, ST Math is an instructional tool designed to help children develop their spatial-temporal reasoning to become more proficient at math.
ST Math features two-dimensional games for which the objective is to solve puzzles by moving a penguin named Jiji who has to either overcome obstacles or traverse a broken route that is missing pieces. To solve these puzzles, a student must work through spatial-reasoning that reinforces an underlying math concept. By possessing spatial-temporal reasoning, a student retains visual representations of a concept in his short-term memory and improves upon them in both space and time. ST Math is most effective when used to complement traditional classroom instruction.
