Singapore Math differs from the traditional approaches of teacher-centered learning. Instead of having a teacher demonstrate the recommended steps for reaching a solution, students are given tangible aids to help them complete the problem themselves. Because of its focus on problem-solving skills, Singapore Math is widely used in American schools.
