To sign up for a nursing review class to prepare for the certification exam, go to the educational website for the National Council of State Boards of Nursing at LearningExt.com, choose the desired course and complete the registration process. The NCSBN also offers courses for continuing education credit such as "Ethics of Nursing Care," "Patient Privacy" and "Medication Errors: Detection and Prevention" as of 2015.

Enter LearningExt.com or NCSBN Learning Extension in a browser window and go to the site. Click on the appropriate category among the choices of students, faculty and nurses. Those interested in taking the review course for the NCLEX-RN or NCLEX-PN exam should choose Students.
View the information about the courses including the available study plans in three-week and five-week lengths. Confirm that all technical requirements are met before enrolling in the course.
Click on Register Online when ready to begin. Students who do not have an account need to set up a new one before registering for a course.
Begin the course. The course is available once registration is complete and is available 24 hours a day for the chosen subscription length.
