Renaissance Home Connect allows families to view a student's progress in Accelerated Reader, Accelerated Math and Accelerated Math Fluency, and allows students to practice math facts at home, says Renaissance Learning. Parents can view results on the website and register to have test results emailed to one or more addresses.
Research indicates that students show improved growth when their parents have direct involvement in their education, claims Renaissance Learning. Home Connect allows parents the opportunity to monitor progress and practice skills on the same programs students use in school.
Accelerated Reader is a school site program that allows students to take comprehension quizzes on thousands of leveled, age-appropriate books. In addition to tracking student progress, Home Connect also allows parents to help their children search for books with an available AR quiz using a variety of search criteria, says AR BookFinder.
Accelerated Math and Accelerated Math Fluency are school site programs that allow students to practice ability-appropriate math skills and take corresponding quizzes. Home Connect allows parents to view lessons their children have studied at school and see problems they have answered incorrectly. AM even allows families to view sample problems and access a math glossary to help with any skills where the student might be struggling, states Renaissance Learning.
