As of 2015, the Florida Department of Education does not have a program called Focus; however, several districts in the state use Focus School Software to collect data. The information collected in Focus is used to prepare the school reports required by the state.
Pinellas County, Florida, was the first school district with more than 10,000 students that purchased the School Information system from Focus School Software. The system provides school districts with a scheduling system, integrated grade books and verification reports. The software assists schools with extracting data that can be used to create the state reports. School district volunteers can also use the system to enter and track their hours.
