Search for scholarships on Scholly by either downloading the smartphone app or accessing the Web version and creating an account with the service, then answering a series of background questions. The tool then provides a list of applicable scholarships that meet your profile, along with information on applying for them.
Both the Web and app versions of Scholly function in the same manner, with each requiring an account to track personal information and a payment in order to access the service. After creating an account, you need to answer several questions to build a profile with the service so that it may look for potential scholarship matches. Questions do not ask for personally identifiable information, but instead focus on demographic details such as race, age, gender and the state in which you live. After providing the necessary information, the tool scans its database of verified and approved scholarships and displays a list of potential matches. The service also allows you to choose from either merit-based or need-based scholarships.
From the list of results, tap or click on an entry to view details about requirements, rewards and application deadlines. As of 2015, all scholarships available through the Scholly system receive a review from the company to ensure legitimacy. However, this means that the service does not provide you with access to every scholarship.
