School districts in El Paso, Texas include the El Paso Independent School District, Socorro Independent School District and Ysleta Independent School District. These are the three largest school districts in the City of El Paso and El Paso County, as of 2015.
The El Paso Independent School District includes 92 school campuses with over 63,000 students spread among them. Employing over 9,000 teachers and support staff, it is also the largest employer in El Paso. The school district covers nearly all the public and charter schools within the city of El Paso, as well as communities within El Paso County that border the North Franklin mountains.
The Socorro Independent School District covers public schools in the far eastern area of the city of El Paso, as well as some schools in the southeastern region of El Paso County. This includes schools in Socorro, Horizon City, and the unincorporated communities of Sparks and El Paso Hills. The district operates 46 schools and serves over 45,000 students. The Ysleta Independent School District includes public schools primarily in northeast El Paso, serving 43,000 students on 63 campuses.
