Two ways to get help with geography studies are by going to a geography website or by getting a geography tutor. WyzAnt is a website that connects geography tutors and students, and the National Geographic Society has a version of its website for kids that covers several topics in geography.
Students can search for geography tutors on the WyzAnt website by hovering over the Search for Tutors drop-down menu at the top of the home page, and then by clicking the Search for Tutors link. The website then asks students what subjects they want to learn; students should type "geography" here. Students also state where they live and what times they want to have the sessions. The website then pulls up a list of geography tutors in the defined area.
National Geographic Kids has several free resources, including articles, interactive maps and games. Students can use the website's search engine to search for items on geography, or they can browse through the options on the home page. To fully benefit from all the website has to offer, students need to create personal website accounts with user names and passwords. They can create their accounts by clicking on the Join button at the top of the home page.
