LIM College and Lasell College are reputable community colleges that specialize in fashion. Virginia Marti College of Art and Design, Marist College and Mount Ida College also specialize in fashion.
LIM College, which is situated in midtown Manhattan, offers degrees in fashion merchandising, fashion marketing and visual merchandising. Students can also earn an MBA with an emphasis in entrepreneurship or fashion management.
Lasell College, which was established in 1851, is 8 miles away from downtown Boston. The school offers over 40 degree programs with degrees in retail merchandising, fashion communication and marketing.
Virginia Marti College of Art and Design was established in 1966. In 2006, the school launched a digital media program. Students who complete 110 credit hours earn an associate of applied business degree in fashion merchandising. The school’s fashion design program prepares students to start their own boutiques or become retail managers, buyers or marketing representatives. The Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges has accredited Virginia Marti College of Art and Design.
Marist College is a private college that was established in 1929. Marist College’s The Marist School of Communication and the Arts offers several programs in the marketing and merchandising side of fashion.
