The Southern University of New Orleans offers both undergraduate and graduate programs on campus, as well as online degrees. Special programs are available through the school's Center for African and African-American Studies, Center for Excellence in Teaching and Learning, Early Start Program and Small Business Development and Management Institute.
SUNO's undergraduate program includes degrees in biology, criminal justice and business entrepreneurship. The Bachelor of Science with a focus in biology provides a foundation in the field with applications to the modern world. The Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice prepares students for corrections, law enforcement and similar law careers. The school also offers a Master of Arts in the field. As of 2015, the school's business entrepreneurship degree focuses on applications to the New Orleans area.
Among the graduate degrees are the Master of Arts in Museum Studies Program. The school tailors this program to enable working professionals to partake in it. Among the topics the program examines are the management of museums and the acquisition and preservation of works of art.
SUNO also provides undergraduate and graduate degrees in its online program, which utilizes Blackboard as its learning management system and MyCampus Portal as its portal. Degree focuses include general studies and museum studies.
