ST Math sells game-based instructional software for kindergarten through 12th grade classrooms, as of 2015. ST Math uses updated brain and learning research to develop interactive animated video games that improve mathematical understanding and problem-solving skills.
MIND Research Institute develops ST Math software to introduce math concepts through visual interactive game play. The purpose of this method is to reach students who have communication barriers and are unable to learn math through traditional classroom methods. The intuitive software also changes along with students' needs and as new research is revealed.
The ST Math learning programs are aligned with individual state standards, and they meet the Common Core State Standards for Mathematics. The programs provide immediate feedback to students as they play, and they provide teachers and parents with assessment and progress reports.
The ST Math software can be played on computer or tablet platforms. On computers, the software is only compatible with Windows, Mac and Chromebook operating systems. It requires at least 1 gigabyte of RAM on Windows and Mac systems, and it requires that Chromebook systems be from 2011 or newer.
The ST Math tablet app is supported on the iPad 2 and newer Apple tablets with iOS 5.0 or later. It is also supported on the Kindle Fire HD 8.9 tablet and on 10-inch or larger Android tablets with a Honeycomb or newer operating system and at least 1 gigabyte of RAM.
