The Associate of General Studies program allows students to choose from a variety of courses and is appropriate for those who do not plan to transfer schools. Students take courses in English composition and written communications and select courses in arts and humanities and biological or physical science. Students who pursue a degree and complete the Arizona General Education Curriculum requirements can get opportunities to attend a public university in Arizona.
The Building Construction Technology certificate program provides students with practical projects that incorporate carpentry, plumbing and electrical techniques. They also acquire communication and critical thinking skills that they can use in entry-level professions in the home-building industry. The program covers courses in applied construction technology, professional development for technology and construction math and blueprints.
Central Arizona offers a variety of programs including the Critical Care for Paramedics Certificate and the Nursing Associate of Applied Science for students who are pursuing health professions. Critical Care students get advanced levels of training with patient care in pre-hospital environments. The nursing program provides training in clinical practice and administration. It allows students to sit for the Practical Nurse Licensing Examination upon completion.
