To play "Fastt Math" at home, you must be a student at a school that uses the software as part of the core math curriculum. "Fastt Math" is a set of educational software designed to teach math skills to students at an elementary school level.
A teacher or institution must acquire the software license for "Fastt Math" in order for students to use it. Students who are able to use their own electronic devices for class work may be able to play "Fastt Math" at home as a supplemental practice tool or as a homework assignment. As of May 2015, the program is available for both Apple and Android tablets.
Developed by Scholastic, "Fastt Math" is a software program primarily aimed at students in the second and third grades, but it can be useful in fourth grade or higher as a remedial tool. "Fastt Math" teaches math skills by allowing children to play educational math games on their computers or tablets. Children should play the games for about 10 minutes, at least three times per week, for maximum efficacy. Students can also play "Fastt Math" in Spanish.
The program focuses on fluency and skill mastery rather than simple memorization. It also incorporates skill assessment and regular reporting to allow both students and educators to track learning progress.
