As of October 2014, 65.9 percent of graduating High School seniors enrolled in college for the following fall. These students make up the amount of both university and community college students. Although the attendence rate of minority students is rising, the majority of students are Caucasian.
In the fall of 2014, over 7.3 million students attended a two-year institution, while over 13.7 million students attended a university. There has also been an increase in the number of traditional college age students as well. The number of African-American and Hispanic students has also increased, and during 2014 alone, the enrollment of minority students was at it's highest.
