As of 2015, University of Maryland University College and Phoenix University offer Bachelor of Arts degrees in English. Both schools require a minimum of 120 course credits to receive a bachelor's degree.
In order to earn a Bachelor of Arts degree in English at the University of Maryland University College, student must complete 33 credits in major courses, 46 credits from minor or elective courses and 41 credits covering general education. The University of Phoenix Bachelor of Arts degree program in English consists of core courses in literary interpretation and analysis, literary theory and criticism, advanced composition, rhetoric and critical thinking. The University of Phoenix allows some students to apply credits earned through relevant life or work experiences toward their degree requirements.
