The Superkids K-2 Reading Program by the Rowland Reading Foundation, K12 PhonicsWorks by the K12 International Academy and The Reading Machine by Education World are three online reading programs that can be used in the classroom, as of 2015.
The Superkids K-2 Reading Program, as of 2015, offers reading help in the classroom tailored to kindergarten, first grade and second grade. It meets the Common Core State Standards for each grade, and each grade level is split into to two semesters. The Superkids K-2 website offers a preview of the program content.
K12 PhonicsWorks covers introductory and advanced phonics using multisensory instruction, which teaches children to engage with reading by using all of their senses. The program uses tiles showing letters and letter combinations to help students recognize how shapes form letters, and then understand the relationship between those shapes and sound. As of 2015, the K12 PhonicsWorks kit includes the tile kit, a training video, supplementary books, a teacher guide and student activities. K12 International Academy has additional reading programs.
The Reading Machine is a set of reading games for use independently and in the classroom. As of January 2015, the Reading Machine has links to 36 online games that help teach and reinforce important reading skills.
