As of 2015, the University of Nebraska-Lincoln offers a bachelor's of applied science that can be completed entirely online as well as an undergraduate degree in Early Child Education in a Mobile Society. The Lincoln campus also online minors in business, for nonbusiness major only, and communications. There are also certificates and some graduate-level classes available through the university online.
The other two campuses, University of Nebraska-Omaha and University of Nebraska-Kearney, also offer some online programs, with the University of Nebraska-Kearney operating completely online. Undergraduate degrees are available in business administration, criminal justice, early childhood education, sociology, and organization and relational communication. Graduate programs available at the Kearney campus include history, music education, business administration, biology and many others in the education disciplines.
The University of Nebraska-Omaha offers students 12 online bachelor's degrees, including aviation science, fire service management, geography, gerontology, information technology and political science. The Omaha campus also has several fully online master's degrees and blended programs, where students can take some of their classes online and others in the traditional college setting.
Online classes can offer students flexibility in their schedules and are especially popular with nontraditional students or those who are also working full time. However, traditional students are also able to take advantage of the online course offerings.
