Apex Learning offers a fully virtual standards-based school curriculum, including classes in math, English, science, social studies and world languages. The program also offers elective courses in art and music appreciation, reading skills and strategies, mathematics of personal finance, liberal arts math and health opportunities through physical education.
Math classes range from basic number skills to high school algebra and geometry. Some classes have a design to meet the requirements of particular states. For example, there is a Algebra I-A California, Algebra I South Carolina and Analytic Geometry Georgia. There are also courses that align with Common Core requirements.
In addition to basic science courses in biology, earth science, physics and chemistry, there are likewise specialty science course for particular states, such as Integrated Physics and Chemistry Texas and Ecology Virginia. Some of these courses are part of Apex Learning's honors program, whereas others participate in the Advanced Placement or Literacy Advantage programs.
World Languages includes Latin, French, German, Spanish and Mandarin Chinese. Most of the program's English courses meet the core program requirements.
