Duolingo appeared on PC magazine's 2013 list of the "Best Free Language Learning Apps." It was not only an entry; it was the writer's favorite service out of all of the others on the list. The technology site liked the fact that it is a high-quality learning program with no cost to learners. Basic words, grammar and phrases are taught, and then learners practice what they have learned by working on translations of real-world content, such as actual website content.
