Websites like Classmates.com and Findaschoolmate.com are common ways to find old classmates, and social networks such as Facebook and LinkedIn have become another popular way to search for old classmates and friends. All of these tools require the user to create an account and log in.
While some of the features of Classmates.com are free, others are not. To take advantage of everything the network has to offer, users must purchase a Gold membership, which carries a monthly fee that varies based on the number of months purchased. The site has a search feature that lets users view others who went to the same school, but some of the filters used to narrow the search are only available to paid members.
To use Facebook to search for classmates or friends, log into your account, sign in to Friends Reunited, and click Find Memories on the left-hand side. Click on Memorable Places at the bottom of the page, and enter your school's name in the search box. A thumbnail of your school is likely to appear, and clicking on it brings you to the school's memory box where you can search for friends' names. Click the Keep button to save the school in your Facebook interface for future use.
