MobyMax is a Web-based program that provides K-8 teachers a free adaptive curriculum that is aligned to Common Core Standards. MobyMax?s adaptive curriculum creates a unique, personalized education plan for each student to allow talented students to progress quickly and ensure that remedial students get the extra instruction they need.
To get started with MobyMax, students must first complete a pre-assessment test and are then leveled according to their individual needs. Through the pre-assessment, MobyMax determines the student?s level of proficiency and offers independent practice and lessons surrounding their particular skills. As of 2015, the major programs provided by MobyMax resources are math, writing, reading, language and vocabulary.
When students log into their MobyMax accounts, they see what exactly they need to work on, and teachers can track their progress. Teachers have full control of the process, and they are allowed to assign or delete different lessons. The software works the same for all programs: by assigning students? new lessons, tests and assignments, keeping track of the results, and updating teachers on the progress of each student.
There are two main versions of MobyMax: Free MobyMax and Pro MobyMax. A Free MobyMax account is a good option for those new to the program, since it allows them to determine whether the software is suitable for their students. The Pro MobyMax account has additional features, such as detailed reports on student progress.
