Free military boarding schools in the United States include Carver military school in Chicago, the Delaware military academy and the Bataan military school in New Mexico. All schools are a part of their respective public school systems, therefore are free to attend, according to Military School USA.
The main focus of these military schools is to inscribe children with a strict code of ethics, providing students with fundamental morals that leads them to successful futures. Many students in these free military schools are students planning on investing time or careers into future military action. Many of these students participate in JROTC and ROTC throughout their schooling to ensure physical conditioning and mental preparedness for their future within the military, states Carver Military Academy.
Students may have to meet certain academic and physical standards to ensure their acceptance and continuance within the military school. Although the schools are free to attend, not every student who applies gains acceptance. Students who do well within these free military schools are eligible to receive grants and scholarships based on their merits. These grants and scholarships can go towards a future college education or be put on hold if the student wishes to join the military before enrolling in college.
