The Honors College at Miami Dade College was established in 2002 as part of the Miami Dade College system and focuses its curriculum on leadership, excellence and challenging programs. The Honors College has branches at four of Miami Dade's nine campuses and centers, including the main Wolfson campus in Miami.
Miami Dade College is a system of community colleges that do not offer degrees higher than an Associate's. Many students transfer from Miami Dade to four-year institutions for bachelor programs. The Honors College is intended to help students transfer to some of the most prestigious universities in the United States. The Honors College specializes in creating programs customized to the individual, and it offers one-on-one advising to students. All Honors College students are eligible to apply for the Fellows Award, which covers in-state tuition, fees and books.
