The Test of Adult Basic Education, also referred to as the TABE, is an exam designed by McGraw Hill that tests an adult's knowledge of various topics. The test consists of 225 questions.

Adult learners can take the TABE in order to test their literacy and numeracy skills. There are six areas covered in the TABE. It covers vocabulary, math, reading, language, language mechanics and spelling. The TABE can assess if adult test takers meet the enrollment criteria.
