What Majors Can You Complete Online Through Rock Valley College?

As of 2015, Rock Valley College doesn't list any degree programs or majors that students can complete entirely online; however, it does offer individual online courses that on campus students can complete toward their programs. To find out which online classes are available, students can check Rock Valley College's course catalog or consult with a student adviser.

Rock Valley College offers distance learning courses that may involve online lessons, a mix of scheduled on campus meetings or viewing videos at home and coming to campus at times. Students planning to take online classes frequently still need to come to campus for some activities, such as tests and labs. The school's online courses are done through a platform called EAGLE, and students participate in class discussions and communicate with their professors like they would in traditional courses.

The school offers associate degree programs with majors that include dental hygiene, accounting, pre-engineering, computer engineering technology, avionics maintenance technology, child development, registered nursing, fire science, welding technology, human services, business administration and computer science.

There are also fully online continuing education options for those not seeking degrees offered through Rock Valley College's affiliated provider Ed2Go. These courses are in areas like personal development, computer applications, writing, business and health care.
