Educators generally think that there are three main types of learning styles: visual, auditory and kinesthetic. Most children have one style by which they learn best, but they may also learn effectively using a combination of two or three of the styles. Visual learners learn best by seeing new information in practice, while auditory learners retain information best when they can hear it explained to them. Kinesthetic learners prefer to learn new information by physically practicing it.
