Some learning activities for toddlers include identifying colors and learning letters and numbers. There are multiple activities that help toddlers learn these basic skills, such as reading letters on street signs while driving.
Start teaching a toddler her letters with her first name. After the toddler learns her first name, move on to her middle and last name to learn even more letters. It also helps to display letters around the house, such as with magnets on the refrigerator or large letters with the child's name on her bedroom door.
Start teaching a toddler numbers when she is around two years old. Have the child start by learning the numbers one through 10. As with letters, display numbers in different places so the child sees them often and eventually begins to recognize them. Using animals or colors as part of this lesson is also helpful.
