What Is Juilliard School's Mascot?

The penguin is the unofficial mascot of Juilliard School. The Juilliard School was established in 1905 under the name of the Institute of Musical Arts. The school was renamed the Juilliard School for Augustus Juilliard.

The Juilliard School has divisions that include the dance, drama and music divisions. It is a private institution for the performing arts located in New York City. For the 2012 to 2013 period, figures indicate that there are 853 college students enrolled at this school. There are 317 faculty members. The graduation rate is approximately 81.1 percent.

Many of this school's alumni have gone on to receive collectively many awards, such as 24 Academy Awards, 105 Grammy Awards and 16 Pulitzer Prizes.
