Participants must be at least 16 years old and are required to attend an orientation session. Following orientation, participants take placement tests to assess their current English language levels. Classes meet twice a week or on Saturdays for 10-week and are available year-round.

Vineyard Community college also provides free English lessons. Classes cover reading, writing, speaking and listening skills at the beginning, intermediate and advanced fluency levels. People wishing to participate in the classes must sign up to attend an orientation session.

Classes are generally offered on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. Classes are sometimes available on other weekdays. Evening classes meet on Tuesdays from 7 pm until 9 pm. Free childcare is provided for participants attending the Tuesday evening sessions.
