The best way to identify which school district is assigned to an address is to use an interactive online tool. There are several such tools available, including one that is part of the Great Schools website and a dedicated tool at School District Finder.
Interactive online tools are the fastest and easiest way to identify school district boundaries, as long as you know the complete address of a school, home or business in the community of interest. With a typical tool, such as the School and District Boundaries Map page on the Great Schools website, you enter an address and click the button. A Google map display appears showing school district boundaries overlaid on a map of the selected community. On the Great Schools tool, individual schools are marked by interactive buttons that give name and address information for the school.
The Great Schools District Boundaries Map also identifies districts in nearby communities and lets you narrow schools by grade level. A scrollable list includes all schools in the district, and school names on the list as well as pins on the map link to more information about each school including ratings, reviews and school websites. A listing of homes for sale near each school is another useful feature offered by this tool.
