As of 2015, the U.S. News & World Report's annual rankings of the top online programs in different fields include criminal justice programs at Boston College and Arizona State University and the engineering program at Columbia University. These programs include online training courses within their fields of speciality.
Additional highly rated online programs included on the U.S. News & World Report list are the information technology programs at Virginia Tech and the University of Southern California; nursing programs at St. Xavier University and the Medical University of South Carolina; an MBA program at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and a business program at the University of Texas in Dallas.
Many of these programs have accreditation from the top accrediting agencies in their respective fields. For example, the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business provides accreditation for both the MBA program at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and the business program at the University of Texas in Dallas.
