Is There a Site That Helps You Diagram a Sentence?

Dr. L. Kip Wheeler, a professor at Carson Newman University, has constructed a site to help students diagram sentences. The site is open to anyone who wishes to use it.

Diagramming sentences is a tool for teaching students the different parts of a sentence. The subject of a clause is in a separate bracket from the verb, which is separated from the object. Modifiers are attached to the words they modify. The relationship between the words is demonstrated by the method used to attach them to each other.

Students can easily navigate through the website by clicking the Next Page links at the bottom and top of each page, or they can jump to a particular section by using the hyperlinks provided on the table of contents.
