Arkansas State University's upholstery program is a 16-credit hour program that requires classes in auto upholstery and furniture upholstery. Catawba Valley Community College in North Carolina offers classes in indoor and outdoor upholstery as well as furniture fundamentals, pattern making and sewing. Central Arizona College requires eight upholstery classes. Along with upholstery basics and introduction to upholstery tools and materials, basic math for upholstery is also required along with an upholstery project.
