If a student gets all As, his GPA ranges between 3.5 and 4.0, and a B average ranges from 2.5 to 3.4. If a student has no further education goals, he may be pleased with anything above 2.5. However, if a student wishes to continue his education, he should try for an A average, or a GPA of 3.5 or above.
While a college GPA is a specific number, determining whether it is good or not depends upon the student's personal, career and school goals. The GPA matters most when a student wishes to continue his or her schooling with a master's program or beyond.
