The typical exam timetable for an average university student involves exams at the end of each semester or term. Exams may be cumulative or only cover the most recent section of material in the course.
Some exams may last several hours, while others may be given as take-home assignments to be completed by a given due-date or simply submitted on test day. Each course has an exact time for the exam scheduled by the university's office of the registrar. The course syllabus should contain the time and date for the exam. Before the exam, students should verify this information, however, as scheduled exam times can change.
