Is a Formula Sheet Given on the ACT?

The ACT college readiness assessment does not include a formula sheet for its math or science segments. Students should memorize math facts and formulas, such as the order of operations.

Other facts that students should know before the test day include factoring and multiples, averages and statistics, exponents and roots, how to factor and solve polynomials, functions and absolute values, complex numbers, linear functions such as the point-slope form and the slope-intercept form, the properties of triangles, the trigonometric functions, and areas and perimeters of shapes and solids.

Other assessments published by ACT, such as ACT WorkKeys for job skills assessment, do include a formula sheet for its math portion.
