The Ferguson-Florissant School District is a fully-accredited suburban school district located just outside of St. Louis, Missouri. The district boasts over 11,000 students currently enrolled in preschool through 12th grade. The student body breakdown is organized into 17 elementary schools, three middle schools, three high schools and one alternative school.
The Ferguson-Florissant School District also boasts a highly acclaimed and nationally recognized early educational development program, the Challenger Learning Center and the Little Creek Nature area. With the mission of optimizing how children learn through various avenues, teachers and staff alike work to use state of the art tools and strategies to ensure that children are receiving a high quality education.
All three high school have earned the Project Lead the Way certification for the effort in creating a modern science, technology, engineering and math curriculum. The goal of this STEM-based curriculum is to mold minds that are capable of applying their knowledge in the classroom and devising solutions to today's engineering challenges. With the goal of making sure that students are proficient in basic subject areas, this teaching strategy ensures that they are successful not only in the classroom but in learning how to communicate and work well with others.
