The APA style for online references lists the contributor or author's last name with the last edit date in parentheses, followed by a period. Then, the title of website or article appears in italics, followed by a period. Last, "Retrieved by" appears, followed by the website where the information originated.
Citing a book requires the location of publication, the publisher's name and the author's first initial. However, the retrieval date is not necessary for book or other hard copy citations. Citing video or television programming requires additional information, such as where the video can be accessed, the copyright date and the director's last name.
