The Education Quality and Accountability Office, or EQAO, uses large-scale assessment tests to measure the skills of students in Ontario, Canada. EQAO offers practice assessments and other learning materials online at Eqao.com. These materials are totally free and practice tests are available in PDF format.
EQAO tests measure reading, writing and math skills. They are developed by Ontario's teachers to conform to the academic standards established by The Ontario Curriculum. EQAO mainly offers tests to students in the third, sixth and ninth grades although other assessments are available, such as the Ontario Secondary School Literacy Test, which measures student literacy at the end of ninth grade, or the Pan-Canadian Assessment Program, which is administered to eighth graders.
