Enrollment for Lincoln Academy is currently over for 2015, but an online application is available on Lincoln-Academy.org under the Enrollment section. It is necessary to register before enrolling at Lincoln Academy, and to apply during the next open enrollment opportunity, the student must win a spot through a lottery system.
After the open enrollment period, the school admits new students if space is available. If the number of student applicants is more than the open positions, the school holds a random lottery. Following the lottery, the parent receives notification of the student's status. If the student gains admission, their siblings also gain admission if openings are available. If there are no openings, the siblings go on a special list that gives them priority when positions open.
Students who do not win a spot through the lottery go on a wait list. Using the online enrollment system, a parent can see the wait list number for the student. As students enroll in the school, the wait list updates automatically. When the student becomes eligible for enrollment, the family has a week to register the student. To enroll in Lincoln Academy, each student must have a birth certificate and immunization records.
If the week passes without registration, the student forfeits the space. If the student fails to make it in one school year, the application automatically is eligible for the following year. If students do not win a spot on the waiting list, the parent must fill out an application each year.
