Northstar Academy is a Christian online school that offers Teacher-Led and Parent-Led learning tracks with the tuition of the latter one-fourth the cost of the tuition for the former. Students can complete nine-month-long courses over a 12-month period. Students need 22 to 24 credits for graduation and can take a series of electives including fine arts, languages, bible and worldview, and computers and electronics.
Forest Trail Academy charges tuition on a month-to-month format with self-paced courses. The school offers a wide range of electives from creative writing, art history and theatre, to zoology, astronomy and psychology.
Founded in 1991, Laurel Springs School operates on a 36-week school year. Each 36-week class is worth one credit, and students need 23.5 credits in order to graduate. Students need to carry a six-course load to graduate in four years. Some electives that students can take include anthropology I and II, forensic science I and II, veterinary science: the care of animals, and history of the holocaust.
