CIMA is the largest professional membership organization of management accountants in the world. It boasts over 200,000 members in 177 countries all over the world. In 2012, CIMA, which is based in London, partnered with the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, or AICPA, to expand its outreach into the United States. CIMA hosts conferences and networking events to assist members in staying on top of industry developments and trends. These events are also used to promote the accounting profession.
